Liebster Award

Hello, my fellow internet aficionados!

So just the other day the beautiful Kartonia over at StillInMyNighty (love the blog name btw) tagged me for the Liebster Award. Thanks Kartonia! This is very exciting for me.

The Rules
i. Thank the blog that nominated you and link them
ii. Post eleven facts about yourself.
iii. Answer the eleven questions provided by the person who nominated you and then create an eleven-question set for the next group of nominees.
iv. Choose eleven people to nominate and link them in the post.
v. Let your nominees know they've been tagged - and no tag-backs!
vi. Nominate blogs under 200 followers.

So let's begin!

Eleven Facts About Myself (with my favourite Roman Numerals, of course.)

i. I love mashed potato a bit more than is strictly cool. If I could eat just that for the rest of my life, I would.
ii. I am six foot tall and love it.
iii. I studied Theatre and Performance at University and would love to get back into acting again.
iv. I love writing, I currently have three novels on the go. Will I publish them? We'll see. if I do I'll just do it self published on Amazon, 99p a book anyone? I have three on the go so if I get Writer's Block with one, I can carry on with another. Clever, isn't it?
v. I am very driven to being successful. I even carry around a fortune I got in a cookie that says "Your success will astonish everyone".
vi. I am very scientifically minded and if I hadn't studied Theatre at Uni I would have studied Biology, going into Virology. I think viruses are fascinating. The ebola virus is the one I'm most interested in, have been since I read Plague when I was a preteen. I devour articles and papers on the Ebola virus and even have books on virology. #geek?
vii.  I love drawing and am often found doodling something or other. I sometimes wonder whether I should post some of what I do on here, but then I get shy. *blush*
viii. I have over two hundred nail polishes. Bit obsessed with nail things.
ix. I love lemon and raspberry things. A lemon and raspberry meringue is my perfect dessert.
x. I love cooking and I like to think I'm quite good at it. I was the Curry Queen whilst at university and Queen of Cakes once I returned home.
xi. I love watching anime and reading manga. I can't say what my favourite series of either is, there's too many to choose from! But I guess one of my favourite mangakas is Junji Ito. His work is freakky and scary but it's so incredibly awesome and I'd give my right hand to be able to draw like him with my left.

Well with that out of the way, on to the questions asked by Kartonia!

i. If you could live in any book (or film) which one would it be?
Ahh tough question. Probably Memoirs of a Geisha. I'm big into visuals and the scenography in that film is my idea of paradise.

ii. What's the one thing, excluding family and friends, that you couldn't live without?
My internal organs? huh huh huh, bad jokes. I guess my imagination. I don't know how unimaginative people cope, I really don't.

iii. Tea or Coffee?
Coffee. Unless I'm poorly, then strong, sweet tea.

iv. If you were invited on the Tardis for one trip, where would you choose to go?
Probably back just a decade or so, so I could spend more time with my Nan and Grandad. I feel like I didn't really get to know them, so I'd love to have had the time to.

v. What would be your superpower?
I think I'd quite like to be able to think things into existence. But I don't know if that's a real superpower? So I think really I'd like to be a Morph, so I can change into anything and anyone. Feel like being a horse and going for a canter? Done! Want to be a butterfly? Done! Get caught in a spiders web? MWAHAHA I'M A GECKO NOW! Crazy cool ability.

vi. How would you classify your style?
I guess I would classify my style as cute/classy. I like collars and skirts, as well as skinny jeans and playsuits and I don't like showing off too much skin.

vii. How long does it take you to get ready in the mornings?
Depends where I'm going. If it's the whole hog, I'll need a full face of makeup and all of the effort, I guess 45 minutes - 1 hour.

viii. How long does it take you to get for a night out?
Same, really. 45 minutes - 1 hour. Sometimes less. If I'm running late I can get showered and made up and out the door in 20 minutes.

ix. Lipstick or Lip Gloss?
Lipstick every. Single. Time. I really don't get on that well with Gloss.

x. Peep toe heels or closed?
Closed. I hate that claw toe thing that happens with peep toes.

xi. What song can you not stop listening to right now?
Just for this Moment from Wicked. Cause I'm so cool.

Now for the People I'm nominating! In no particular order...

i. Hebe
ii. Kate
iii. Claire
iv. Naomi
v. Coleen
vi. Emily
vii. Natalee
viii. Hannah
ix. Lisa
x. Iman
xi. Giselle

And now for your questions!

i. If you could be any other person for 24 hours, who would you be and why?
ii. If you could only use one beauty product (hair or makeup) for the rest of eternity, what would it be and why?
iii. Fashion or function?
iv. Flat drinks or fizzy?
v. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?
vi. Do you speak any other languages than your native tongue? What languages? If you don't, would you like to learn another and which one?
vii. Teacup or mug?
viii. What's your absolute favourite food?
ix. do you have a favourite beauty secret? What is it?
x. Curls, waves or straight hair?
xi. World peace; possible or impossible?

And that, I believe, is that. I look forward to seeing your responses!

Lots of love and smushy stuff,

Alice

  3. I loved reading this. And we have quite a bit in common. *Nods head* We do. The writing. The art. The being a bit too shy to upload the art. Not to mention not being able to live without internal organs. Haha. I should have seen that one coming, shouldn't I?
I love how you said you wouldn't be able to live without your imagination though. That's such a good answer. xx

    1. Haha I did notice that! And yeah sorry about the crap joke, it had to be done I'm afraid. Begging for it.
And thank you! It's a weird thing to think about, but so much of my day to day life relies on my imagination I'd be quite stuck without it, wouldn't you?
      xx
